Halleys Comet, though permitted officially to visit the earth only every 76 years, was given a special assignment to find two children on Earth and to teach them the marvels of history and the universe. And of course he picked Erbert & Gerbert Herbert. In their many travels with Halleys, riding upon his back on a double saddle designed just for them, the boys discovered that he possesses many powers and abilities of which scientists are totally unaware. The most wonderful of all these powers is that by using his speed in some strange and mysterious way, he is able to take the boys traveling through space and time. And while he doesn’t always show up right away, Erbert and Gerbert always know that he will save the day whenever the day needs saving. And so, through Halleys Comet, Erbert & Gerbert have learned their greatest lesson: The most powerful force in the entire universe is trust.
