On a visit to the north pole, Erbert and Gerbert discovered the answer to one of the world’s oldest mysteries: How does Santa Claus fit all of those toys into a single sleigh on Christmas Eve? On this visit, they met Tappy, one of Santa’s helpers and the keeper of Santa’s secret. Tappy originally received his nickname because many centuries ago, his job was to tap the red stripe into the candy canes. But now, on Christmas Eve, as all the toys pass down a conveyor belt, Tappy puts a single grain of “little dust” on each one, which makes the toy almost microscopic. Santa then piles all of the millions of toys into his bag and takes off. Then, just before he puts a toy under the Christmas tree or into a stocking, Santa places one grain of “big dust” on that toy, thus restoring it to its original size. And that’s how Erbert and Gerbert discovered Santa’s own “little” secret.
