On Sunday, October 5th, Medtronic held their 33rd annual Twin Cities Marathon, an event which attracts 30,000 runners and around 100,000 spectators to the area. In addition, the event requires countless volunteers to ensure everything is organized and feeding a staff that size can present some challenges! Event coordinators contracted with Erbert & Gerbert's to provide 1500 boxed lunches for the volunteers. The locations in Wabasha and Dinkytown worked in conjunction to fill the request.
Owner of Wabasha location, Mike Pertulo, said his location was baking all day to complete the order and esspecially thanked the Dinkytown owner, Mike Hoenie, for his contribution to make the delivery a success. The corporate offices of E&G are extremely proud of these owners who believe in working together for the greater good of their own community, which is a benefit for all parties involved. Congratulations to the Twin Cities for another great marathon and to the Wabasha and Dinkytown stores for their catering efforts!
