New Directions Down Syndrome Association

Our mission is to provide information about Down syndrome, direction to resources, and networking opportunities. Service League of Green Bay

Service League’s largest project is the Back to School Store, which takes place every August. This event provides over 1,500 children all the items they need to start the school year off on the right foot. Each student receives a new backpack, new school supplies, a new outfit and shoes, a dental screening and, most importantly, renewed self confidence.

TXT4LIFE is a locally based crisis text service targeting youth. In 2010 a community faced a tragedy: two students and an adult who worked in an area school died by suicide. One of the students, before killing himself, had texted friends his intention and he then carried it out. This led students and adults to painfully understand that young people no longer use phones for calls when they are in crisis – instead, they text.
